Johan Jeremiassen (born 8 January 1843 in Hviteseid,〔(Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik 1887-1937 ), by Chr. Abrahamsen. He established the Porsgrund Porselænsfabrik (a porcelain maker). ==Personal life== Johan Jeremiassen was born in Hviteseid to teacher's seminary leader Knut Johan Jeremiassen and Ingeborg Ellse, née Helseth. The family moved to Drammen around 1855. Johan moved to Kristiania in the 1860s, where he made a career in manufacturing, and later to Porsgrund in 1872 to become involved in shipping.〔 His brother Herman Jeremiassen moved with him and became a businessperson, as well as mayor.〔(Porsgrunds udvikling 1860-1900. Næringsliv ) by A. L. Coll. Hosted by Porsgrunn public library.〕 In 1870 Johan Jeremiassen married Serine, sister of later mayor Jørgen Christian and later Prime Minister Gunnar Knudsen. Johan and Serine had one son Christian Jeremiassen Reim, born 1873.〔(Porsgrunds mek.
